I love being outdoors. So much so that I decided a long time ago that whatever path I took in life, that would be a key requirement. I also believe we have a deep connection with nature.

I found my way by always taking the path less traveled. The status quo wasn’t for me. I tried to fit in to the mold. It just didn’t work. Professionally, I cut my teeth like many of you, in the corporate backed world of manufactured pavements. It grew away from me. Somewhere along the line I realized my connection with the places I designed and worked on was with how they flowed. I grew to look for opportunities to improve designs by soothing transition areas with natural components.

Over the years, I found people like me to surround myself with. Collectively, we worked together to elevate our knowledge and skills and share our stories with the world in hopes of increasing awareness to our cause. I love building and creating. Most importantly, I love building and creating timeless features while using natural materials. The world has dubbed me “The Backyard Expert”.

My purpose is to share my life experiences with others, so that they may gain new perspectives, and have new experiences that allow them to connect more deeply to what matters most to them. I developed this program so that you may have access to the secrets and techniques that have been built over a lifetime while working with natural stone. All while giving like-minded people a place to connect.
